ABABU NAMWAMBA: BIGGER WITHOUT RAILA.

Ababu Namwamba is a name which brings about quite a number of attributions, every Kenyan will associate him with one thing or another. For instance in 2007, he is remembered for swearing his allegiance to Raila Odinga. "Kwa uaminifu kwa Rais Raila Amolo Odinga" He said in parliament. He is also alleged to have recorded a conversation with his former boss Raila Odinga, He is credited with bringing forth the ODM Reloaded "program" to re-brand ODM when it looked like it was going down to its knees.
Ababu Namwamba is a good orator, he has a good command of both English and Kiswahili... In fact even journalists who interview him tend to learn either a new phrase, word or both.
Now that Ababu Namwamba has already fallen out with not only Raila Odinga but also his former party ODM where has his latest maneuvers moved his political stature? Has he upgraded or downgraded, has he become static. His Ababu Namwamba's Political stature on an upward trajectory or a downward one? To make an informed comprehension, consider the following factors:
Ababu The Party Leader: In ODM, Ababu was a toothless/ceremonial secretary general. In ODM everything was being micromanaged by the powerful shell in Raila's team that is as far as his allegations are concerned. Come forward, he is now a party leader in his own way. Precisely if Party leaders are considered to be principals especially in his old camp then Ababu is a Principal. and that is an upgrade.
Ababu the free thinker: In Kenya we have funny species of politicians. You can call them puppets or test tube politicians that is upon you. For instance, Millie Odhiambo never asks why but how high that is if she is asked to jump, Junnet Mohamed is another you can add Duale too the list if you wish.
Come to Ababu, he is one of the few politicians who you expect to dot any "i" or cross any "t" that he comes a cross. He his among the few who know the difference between a spade, a big spoon and a shovel. Ababu stands for political honest even if it means putting his political carrer on the line. I mean, he can take paternity leave when everybody else is busy sitting on the streets of Nairobi in the name of IEBC must go. and that is another upgrade.
Ababu's Development Record: Budarangi constituency is one of the epitome of an MPs role in development. He has improved roads, he has seen the construction of the ever needed bridge across River Nzoia and he is the only MP to have spent CDF money to construct a modern University College. Furthermore, when everybody else was asking 'where is Namwamba' little did they knew that he has retreated tactically to consolidtae his political base. Now Budarangi is going to be a fort-less for other parties thanks to Ababu's Labour Party.
A retreating soldier especially when he is a general like Namwamba can never be written off, so those of you who had written the gneral off that was in your own peril. and that is an upgrade.
Ababu "The Missionary Man": After his recent Media resurrection, Ababu has define his mission in CAPS. He is on a mission to shatter a political myth that - If you are in ODM you are an angel and if you are not then you are a devil. He his in a mission to shun a notion that political patronage defines political futures of young politicians. He is on mission to prove that you can go where there is no way and leave a trail. Like he said recently, it is only a fool who doesn't change his mind.
To embark on such mission needs a man of steel, a man who means what he says and says what he means. On this, Ababu is upgrading.
From the a aforementioned factors, including the fact that he is a brilliant lawyer and a promising politician for that matter. ABABU NAMWAMBA LOOKS without Raila and he can only get better. It is worth to dream that Ababu is likely to be the first President from Western Province, YES! Ababu stands a better chance in future than his nemesis Mudavadi & Wetangula who are always flip flopping.
What if we end with "Usiwe kama umbwa ambaye utabika nyoko kisha urudi kuiramba".
