NYACHAE BACK INTO ACTIVE POLITICS

   When talking about Gusii politics, you can't do it relevantly unless you touch on one Name, Nyachae. Simon Nyachae is known to be one of the most powerful ministers in whatever Government he has served in. Be it in Moi government or Kibaki government. He is also known to have been the only Gusii politicians to Make Gusii region to vote as a block which was only done in 2002 General election when he was ran for Presidency and came third. In the aforementioned General election, the whole Kisii region was swept by his party ford people shielding and outwitting the then powerful movements like NARK and KANU under the retired President Kibaki and President Uhuru respectfully. Five years later (2007), Nyachae retired from active politics after losing the Nyaribari Chache Parliamentary seat to Dr. Robert Monda of ODM.
    Nearly 10 years after Mzee's retirement, Nyachae is back into elective politics. He is back in the name of His son Charles Ayako Nyachae who is running for Kisii County Senatorial seat on a Jubilee Party Ticket. Charles Nyachae is a well known lawyer who has worked in many capacities recently working as the Chairman of the Constitution Implementation Commission, and earlier he worked with Kenya Law Review Commission.
   In a Jubilee Team under the leadership of the current senator Chris Obure and the Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, they have vowed to sweep the County clean.
   Nyachae's political entrance looks like a clean bill in many aspects.
  One, he has the surpport of the incumbet senator (Chris Obure) who is not defending his seat instead going for the Governors seat.
  Two, His potential competitors are not well known or they have not shown real interest in the seat by virtue that they are yet to declare their interest legitimately has Nyachae has done. By that am reffering to Prof. Ongeri and Omingo Magara who ran for it in the last General elections.
  Three, Charles Ayako Nyachae has never been alleged to have involved himself in any scandal. He is considered to be as clean as "Pamba". Therfore, he has the moral authority that is required in respect to the fight against corruption.
  Four, he is not riding in his fathers fame. In his political endevours, Nyachae has shown that he is his own man. He has always carried himself to the top.
  Most fundamental, he stands a better chance to get a top position in the senate due to his Legal prowess. It is likely that he can even get the Speaker's position or even the Majority leader.
  As we place ourselves for the New Kisii County Senator, Charles Nyachae has already stood tall and he is the first among  the rest hence gets the highest chance of taking the second most coveted seat in County politics.

However, the main villain warned them of  of looking down upon an idiot who has the tendency of showing up when needed. He turned out to save day. The worst mistake which worked against the villain's camp was prejudice. As the anecdote above, NASA has had the tendency of writing Jubilee off in Gisii politics to the point that they felt in a comfort zone.
