When Senator Christopher Mogere Obure made it crystal clear that he was not going to defend his senatorial seat and instead he was to swim into the gubernatorial ocean, that is when thing were also clear by default that; Kisii County will have a second Senator come 9th or so date of August 27. The seat has no incumbent hence literary the seat is anyone's for the taking. Pap! We have the candidates and we have to make a choice and now let me break the runners down:

In the race, we got Four Aspirants whom to the best of my Knowledge have a chance of making it as the second senator of the Great Kisii County.
We have Omingo Magara of PDP, Charles Nyachae of Jubilee, Prof Sam Ongeri of ODM and Isaac Onchagwa an Independent Candidate. Now you got know what they are and what they stand or sit for:

Omingo Magara (PDP). The former member of parliament for south mugirango is in the coveted race and is hoping that what evaded him in 2013 might be his this time round. Omingo claims that he lost it unfairly in 2013 and he lost what was legitimately his. He is know as a very good speaker but of less action. Apart from the hard task of consolidating the South Mugirango votes he is also seen as a fence sitter. He has not come out to say which side of the divide he belongs and to me he is like that a universal mole. Whatever his chances are, my vote will be hard for him to get. If he is unreachable now I think he will be unreachable forever.

Charles Nyachae (Jubilee). It is a fact thet Jubilee is gaining ground in Kisii County, It is also a fact that Jubilee will get a higher number of votes from from the region as compared to 2013. However, Charles's association to Jubilee does not overshadow his weaknesses. One of his major weaknesses is that it is believed that he still works under instructions from his father. If such allegation are not true, forgive my manners, he will lose we don't need puppets. Other reasons are, he rarely listens to his supporters, he rarely asks for votes and he sometimes thinks that he will win by default. My vote is not his.

Sam Ongeri (ODM). The only Octogenarian in the race, the 80 year old diplomat and long serving former Member of Parliament  for Nyaribari Masaba. I wonder why we can even Consider Ingeri of all the people. An 80 year old should not be running for any political seat because he is more of a liability than an asset. I respect older people and I do so when they respect themselves by saying it is all finished. By knowing when to stand up and when to stand down. The good professor seems not to understand this. He has been serving in the Jubilee Government and now he is trying to tell us how the government is bad. If Ongeri respects himself, he must be ready for anything in his life, short term retirement or a permanent one. He must look for somewhere else to spend his late days and that is away from the senate where we need young blood. Ongeri is a big X and I hope the people of Kisii will help me in retiring him.

The final on my list is one Isaac Onchagwa, He prefers to be referred to as Isaac Bw'amabati because he is an independent candidate and Amabati his is symbol. First and foremost let me give a light background on who is Isaac. Isaac is able young man from Bonchari Constuency who has worked hard to his current status. He has operated as a Matatu tout, a Driver and even rinamba. Rinamba is an idler in matatu stages. In a nutshell if you need the definition of an Hustler you got look at his past and you will see an hustler. Prior to announcing his intent, he had been helping his area MP as the constituency Co-coordinator.  On party politics he was Jubilee Party's organizing Secretary. He experiences some rejection from youths who sometimes are jealous of his establishments and instead of asking him how he got their they just throw out malicious hatred at him. Assuredly, he is a good man and he deserves a chance.

Having looked at the options that we have in Kisii County. Allow me say that Isaac Bw'amabati is the right man for the Job. I am gonna stand by him. He listens, he is youthful and he beliefs that there is nothing for the youth without the youth. lets support him in driving the point home that there is nothing for us without us. Isaac Bw'amabati is My Senator.
